Safety Guidelines
Performance Basketball – Safety Guidelines
Performance Basketball will adopt the following measures in order to create the safest possible clinic environment for all our players, coaches and parents:
General:
- We will adhere to all CDC, local government and school policies to create a safe environment.
- All players & coaches will be screened and temperature checked upon entrance to the gym.
- Water fountains will be closed. All players must bring their own water bottles.
- Sanitization stations will be set up 1) at the outside entrance of the gym. 2) in the foyer of the gym.
- Parents will be asked to drop their children off at the gym and then pick them up at the end of the clinic.
Clinic Sessions:
- We will utilize drills that accommodate distancing.
- Floors will be marked with “pancakes” (flat rubber circles) to identify appropriate spacing when drills are being run.
- Masks will be required when players are in team drills/scrimmages/close proximity.
- Short “timeouts” will be given for hand washing during the clinic. These timeouts will be given frequently (every 5-10 minutes) or as needed.
Important:
- If any players/parents/coaches display a temperature above the CDC guidelines when they are screened at the gym entrance, they will not be allowed into the facility and will be politely asked to head home. (“If you’re sick, stay at home”)
- Post clinic – Performance Basketball will sanitize or clean any equipment, chairs or other items as required by the School.
- Performance Basketball will be proactive with disbursement of safety information. Parents of all players will be emailed the most current safety guidelines a week before the start date of the clinics.
- Safely guidelines & regulations will be posted at the entrance to the gym.
